Kew Palace
Kew Gardens, London

Kew Palace is located within the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. Kew Palace is the fourth palace in Kew Gardens and has undergone a 10 year restoration completed in 2006 that not only renovated the building but included the weaving of period draperies and other fabric décor.
The palace was originally built by a Dutch merchant in 1663 and was known as the Dutch House. It was used for a number of years by the Royal Family before being purchased by King George III in 1781. It lay unused from 1818 onwards and was given over to the public by Queen Victoria in 1898 together with Queen Charlotte's cottage.
